Ledger Offers New App for iPad, iPhone

<p>LAKELAND | Readers with an iPhone or iPad can now experience The Ledger in a new way.</p><p>The Ledger Media Group has announced the launch of two new, free applications that bring more of the newspaper's digital content to iPhone and iPad users.</p><p>The apps allow readers to easily browse individual sections of The Ledger and enjoy videos, photo galleries, blogs and other content.</p><p>"We continue in our digital pilgrimage," said Jerome Ferson, publisher of the Ledger Media Group.</p><p>"Today's launch of The Ledger iPad and iPhone applications marks another significant step in that journey. We are excited by the potential offered through mobile and tablet computing technologies.</p><p>"Regardless of platform, consumers can turn to Ledger Media Group products as the most trusted source for local news and information."</p><p>Barry Friedman, managing editor/digital for The Ledger, noted the apps use a similar visual presentation to The Ledger's online and print editions.</p><p>"When you look at it, you know it's The Ledger.
